“Come on down!” The Price is Right Live! is coming to Lafayette in November.
The touring version of the famous game show will bring Acadiana audience members a chance to win a share of more than $12 million in cash and prizes.
The historic television show airs live. Contestants are selected from the audience with a call to “Come on down!” for a chance to win appliances, cash, trips and, possibly, a new car. Audience members also can win prizes from their seats.

Randomly-selected contestants play games like Plinko, where contestants earn Plinko chips by correctly pricing four small prizes. Each chip is worth up to $10,000.
The game Cliff Hangers features a mountain climber that takes steps up a mountain based on how close the contestant comes to guessing the price of a smaller item.
The program first aired Sept. 4, 1972, with the first host Bob Barker, who stayed in the job until his retirement in 2007. While there are many different hosts for The Price is Right Live tour, all are recognizable media personalities.
The Price is Right Live! will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 3 at the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette.
